Cranberry Honey Source and Background
Raw cranberry blossom honey comes from cranberry bushes and has a beautiful light red tint. Our beekeepers extract the honey from the August cranberry pollination in central eastern New Jersey in the Pinelands area.
First, cranberry honey is commonly in short supply because Cranberry pollination occurs about two weeks annually. Secondly, smaller crops are often the result of nearby plants with more abundant nectar bloom. Lastly, Cranberries are often a weaker producer of pollen and nectar.
