A Delicious Berry Honey
Raw cranberry blossom honey has a strong, tangy berry taste without the cranberry tartness. It pairs very well in teas, cheeses, apples, seafood, breads and fruit. It also pairs well with poultry, pork and dark chocolate. People also report a light nutty taste. Use to make cranberry honey butter or cranberry honey cookies.
Antioxidants Plus
Cranberry honey is a great source of natural antioxidants just like the cranberries themselves! It is recommended for urinary infections, digestive and respiratory conditions.
Cranberry Honey Source and Background
Raw cranberry blossom honey comes from cranberry bushes and has a beautiful light red tint. Extracted from the August cranberry pollination, this honey was harvested in the Pinelands area of central eastern New Jersey.
Cranberry honey is in short supply due to the short period or plant blooming. This occurs for no more thantwo weeks annually. Other nearby plants with more abundant nectar bloom simultaneously, coupled with the fact that that cranberry is not a strong producer of pollen or nectar either.
